Sawyer Clean Water Filters

We’re proud to use Sawyer Water Filters for our international clean water projects.

Sawyer’s innovative filters make a real difference by providing access to clean water.  Each filter is small, portable, and will last for 10 years.  The filters remove 99.99999% of bacteria, 99.9999% protozoa and 100% of microplastics from drinking water.  A single filter is capable of filtering 100,000 gallons over its lifetime!

It has been the perfect solution for our mission!

Types of Filters We Use

  • Tap Filters: Are used in urban areas where running water is available but no municipal water treatment exists.
  • Bucket Filters:  Are used in rural areas where water is drawn from lakes, rivers, and puddles.
  • Bag Filters are used in rural areas where water is drawn from lakes, rivers, and puddles.  The Bag filter is more portable and can be folded up for use in emergencies.

Our Process

The process we use is just as important as the filters we give!

TRUST: We work very closely with organizations and teams that live in and are trusted by the communities that are recieving the filters.

ASSESEMENT: We assess the water conditions in the community so that we can provide the correct water filter solution to remove the bacteria, protozoa, and microplastics from their water.

TRAINING:  We provide  on site, hands on, training to each family or school including cleaning the filter so it will last for 10+ years.

FOLLOW UP:  We train a local official or team to do follow up at 3 weeks and 8 weeks to ensure the filters are being used properly.  This includes the assesement of health and economic benefits the filters are providing the familes.  We maintain contacts available to the familes should they need spare parts or they have issues with their filter.
